Our Story
Background
The Inle horse club, a social enterprise, has been functioning in Myin Sar Khun village, Nyaung Shwe township, Southern Shan State. The company was initiated and got license in the beginning of 2015. The business is for relaxation and horse-riding-training by using local horses. It aims to preserve the endangered local horse-species and to enhance the employment opportunities of local horse trainers. Also, it creates the eco-tourism business opportunity of the region.

Communities to benefit
The business will create new training and employment opportunities for local people to care for and manage the horses, the riding equipment and the horse-carts. In addition there is a need for staff to feed the horses, clean the horses and the horse manure as well as local carpenters to build the horse carriage and local painters and artists to decorate the carts.

Achievement
In October 2015, it achieved the fund award supported by business innovation facility through product and package innovation competition. It developed the proper business plan and started implementation process. Within 2 years time, both international and domestic visitor numbers have been growing up and due to its growth, the number of horses also gone up from 3 to 12. Near by the community another 48 horses is ready for demand. Additionally, the business extended the organic farming and restaurant.

Visit us at the Inle Horse Club for an equestrian adventure exploring the Inle Lake region. You can experience the areas natural beauty and cultural attractions from horseback or horse drawn carriage. Our six-acre Inle Horse Club plays host to nine friendly horses in an idyllic setting of dragon fruit trees, wild flowers and a small, shimmering-blue lake. We invite you to relax at Inle Horse Club with drinks, snacks and local cuisine served at our open air veranda café.
